Our Story

Michelle Hall is the proud owner of Paramount Skating Arena, a skating arena located in Ottawa, IL. She and her husband acquired the business in 2021, and have been running it successfully ever since. The arena was originally established in 1981 and has been a popular spot for skating enthusiasts in the area for decades.

The Halls take great pride in the services that their arena offers. Paramount Skating Arena is a one-stop-shop for roller derby, private events, skating, birthday skate parties, fundraisers, and roller blade rentals. The business specializes in providing a skating arena for private events, roller derbies, and much more.

Michelle has always been passionate about roller skating, and she is happy to share her love for the sport with her customers. What is the cost for general admission?

On Fridays and Saturdays, the cost is $10 including skate rental, and $8 if you bring your own skates. On Sundays, it's $9 with skate rental and $7 without. Children aged 3 and under always enjoy free admission.

Can I bring my own skates?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own skates. Please ensure they are clean and in good working condition.

Can we book private parties or events at your rink?

Absolutely! We offer private event packages perfect for birthday parties, corporate events, or any special occasion. Contact us via text at (815) 823-6660 for more information on availability and pricing.

Do you have lessons for beginners?

Yes, we offer lessons for skaters of all skill levels. Lessons are offered Sunday 12:45-2pm until further notice. It is $15 for a lesson and it also gets you into the Matinee skate after the lesson. No appointment necessary!
